After volunteering with AOC at the age of 16, Alice went on to study Archaeology and Ancient History at university. During her studies, she had the opportunity to participate in archaeological projects in Hungary and throughout Greece, including the excavation of the Classical Greek city of Olynthos, and a field survey on the island of Kythera. She gained experience in both fieldwork and post-excavation, the latter experience was furthered by volunteering at the Ashmolean Museum, digitizing coins from the Heberden Coin Room, and the conservation of books from the Museum’s extensive collections.

Alice joined AOC in 2018 and has since worked on a number of rural and urban sites across the south east of England, including the Roman town of Sandy in Bedfordshire, and large infrastructure projects such as EWR and HS2. As a Senior Site Assistant, she was responsible for carrying out watching briefs, supervising small evaluations, and completing post-excavation reporting.

In 2021 Alice began her current role as Post-Excavation Supervisor, supervising the finds and environmental processing in the London Office, ensuring projects are completed within defined specification, budgets, and timetables. Alice looks forward to developing her interests in Roman pottery and Human Osteology.
