Archaeologist (Inverness)

Callum studied archaeology at the University of the Highlands and Islands, graduating in 2015. During his studies, Callum volunteered on several research excavations, including the highly publicised Ness of Brodgar, Orkney. This experience has provided him with an in-depth knowledge of Scottish Archaeology.

Callum became a commercial archaeologist in 2017 and has worked on a wide variety of sites throughout the UK, ranging from an Early Neolithic settlement site in County Down, to a 19th century cemetery at Euston, London. He has also been involved in several community projects, such as working with the Caithness Broch Project at the Orkney Science Festival, as well community excavations as part of the Stromness Per Maire Piers Project.

Callum joined AOC in April 2019 where he undertakes a number of projects including watching briefs, report preparation, research and archaeological evaluations. He is currently studying part-time for a Masters in GIS at Ulster University and is looking forwarded to using these new skills and knowledge within the workplace.
