Danny Allesbrook

Archaeologist

Danny studied archaeology at Sheffield University and since leaving university in 2014 he has worked in commercial archaeology in England. Danny joined AOC as a site assistant in November 2016 and he has worked on many sites covering a broad range of time periods. His experience includes rural excavations, deeply stratified urban sites and large-scale infrastructure projects. He has also assisted with geophysical surveys historic building surveys. Danny has a keen interest in the periods spanning the Bronze Age to the Roman period in Yorkshire. He is currently vice chairman of a historical group in Sheffield who work towards the protection of a significant Iron Age hillfort. He also has a keen interest in historic buildings and is currently studying for an MA in buildings history.
