Nuala Marshall MA (Hons), MA, MCiFA

Project Manager

Nuala has over 15 years experience as an archaeologist, working within the commercial heritage environment. Her work has included all aspects of excavation and post-excavation analysis, working successfully within and at the head of a team. Nuala has directed a number of important excavations including a large housing development in Swindon where multi-period settlement was revealed, and at the University of Bedfordshire where aspects of a 13th century castle were excavated. Her extensive experience and skills have also been called upon in her role as Senior Archaeologist during underpinning works at Furness Abbey, Cumbria, and as Archaeological Clerk of Works during the construction phase of the Clyde Windfarm extension, one of the largest windfarm projects in Scotland.

In 2017, Nuala joined the AOC Archaeology Consultancy Team where she works on a wide variety of projects throughout Scotland and England. Her work includes preparing Environmental Impact Assessments and Desk-based Assessments, working on large infrastructure projects such as HS2, advising clients and consulting with a variety of other professionals.

Nuala is also part of the Connect Archaeology Team working on HS2, producing Location Specific Written Schemes of Investigation and assisting in project management of all HS2 related projects.
