Capturing the Objects “Before”
Before undertaking any work on the objects, Rowan has taken a look at each item to assess what needs to be done. He has photographed each object from front and back, and made notes about the condition and any treatment that the object will need. Some of the objects are in need of a gentle clean, while others need more significant treatment to ensure they remain stable over the coming years. These photographs serve as a visual record of the objects when they arrived with us, and allow for easy comparison of “before and after” .
